Connecting to Community
Understanding the foundation’s place in this community has come about by building relationships that both define and strengthen our role here. Our relationships enable us to understand the challenges faced by thousands in this community and help us identify solutions that will have maximum impact with sustainable outcomes.
To make the most of those relationships, foundation staff and leadership must be accessible, our grant guidelines and outreach programs must be communicated clearly, and we must establish collaborative partnerships through which we can support new and on-going initiatives.
To assure our relevance, we continually evaluate our efforts in light of the needs of the community - especially through the lens of diversity and inclusion - and we pursue opportunities for improvement.
