This is the sixth and final session of the 2019 Bring Your Lunch & Learn series at Applewood.
Join Ruth Mott Foundation staff members for a mini lesson in canning produce. We will talk about the basics of canning as a way to preserve vegetables and fruit for future consumption. Travel back in time with a list of what the Motts canned or froze utilizing Applewood’s bounty of produce. Guests will taste a dish prepared with canned produce as part of our Taste of Applewood program, and view many of the items that staff can each year.
Enjoy a Taste of Applewood at the end of the session!
