Join us for the second in a series of free virtual Lunch & Learns with the Ruth Mott Foundation staff at Applewood, the historic Charles Stewart Mott estate.
The enduring legacy of Charles Stewart Mott was his extraordinary commitment to civic participation. In this webinar, Edward Renehan, the author of the C.S. Mott biography, will discuss how Mott’s military service, mayoral service, and, perhaps most notably, his philanthropy helped shape this legacy in Flint and beyond. Renehan will also give some behind-the-scenes insight into his research, including unfettered access to rarely seen archival material stored at Applewood while writing “The Life of Charles Stewart Mott: Industrialist, Philanthropist, Mr. Flint.” Bring your questions for the Q&A portion. **This Lunch & Learn will include an American Sign Language interpreter**
12-1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27
