Storytime at Applewood

LOCATION:

The Ruth Mott Foundation invites you to FREE family friendly Storytime at Applewood! Online registration is strongly encouraged as supplies are limited and you only have to register once for the entire season. RSVP: tinyurl.com/applewoodstorytime.

This week we will read “Bees Build Beehives” by Elizabeth Raum, and Romina Marti. A beehive looks neat from the outside, but have you ever wondered how those busy bees built it? From bird nests to beehives, this illustrated narrative nonfiction series explains how animals use their special skills to make a home that fits their needs. Range maps show where each animal lives and a hands-on activity in each book encourages kids to try the animals’ building techniques for themselves. When a hive gets too crowded, some bees leave and build a new hive of their own to raise baby bees.

After Storytime, kids will be creating a stress reliving squishy bee that they will get to take home!

Storytime at Applewood takes place every Friday at 11:30 a.m.
*Every event will be interpreted by an ASL professional.
