Storytime at Applewood

The Ruth Mott Foundation invites you to FREE family friendly Storytime at Applewood! Online registration is strongly encouraged as supplies are limited. RSVP:

This week we will read “Zoom City” by Thacher Hurd. For active kids exploring their world, this energetic book bursts with the noisy sound’s children love to imitate. Honk! Honk! Beep! Beep! Zoom City zooms with cars—and dogs! — on the go. Active toddlers, busy exploring their world, will love this energetic book that’s filled with the noisy sounds they love to imitate.

After story time we will play the game Red Light, Green Light. It is a fun kid’s game that adults can join in as well! It is a lot of fun to play in school, daycare, or summer camp. To play, you will choose a traffic cop and have the rest of the kids go to the starting line. When the cop yells, “Green light,” the kids will run forward. But when the cop yells, “Red light,” the kids must immediately freeze. Anyone caught moving on “red light” will be sent back to the starting line. This will continue until the first kid reaches the traffic cop. This player wins!

There will also be a Taste of Applewood for everyone to enjoy!

Storytime at Applewood takes place every Friday at 11:30 a.m.
