Storytime at Applewood

The Ruth Mott Foundation invites you to FREE family friendly Storytime at Applewood! Online registration is strongly encouraged as supplies are limited. RSVP:

This week we will read “Hello, Harvest Moon” by Ralph Fletcher.
Every night the moon works its magic, conversing with moonflowers and moths, pulling the tides high, bathing streets and yards in its brilliance. It shows us many faces – full, crescent, new – but nothing is as breathtaking as the harvest moon, rising ripe and huge over autumn fields.

After story time we will learn how to use a set of binoculars to view the moon yourself, then take them home and watch the full Harvest Moon on Saturday. Mr. Mott frequently wrote about watching the moon, and even had special binoculars for viewing the full moon

There will also be a Taste of Applewood for everyone to enjoy!

Storytime at Applewood takes place every Friday at 11:30 a.m.
*Every event will be interpreted by an ASL professional.
*Please bring your own chairs and blankets if you can.
