Storytime at Applewood

The Ruth Mott Foundation invites you to FREE family friendly Storytime at Applewood! Online registration is strongly encouraged as supplies are limited. RSVP:

This week we will read “Olivia Travels: A Guide to Modes of Transportation” by Melissa-Sue John and Olivia Lauren. This book is a fun story that teaches young children about different ways that people travel. Olivia takes her readers on a journey through her own experiences with transportation. Children will increase their vocabulary, be exposed to rhyme and rhythm, and learn about homonyms.

After Storytime, you will have a chance to create your own plane. Kids will create airplanes to demonstrate how engineering works, as well as showcasing a simple lesson in aerodynamics. There will also be a Taste of Applewood for everyone to enjoy!

Storytime at Applewood takes place every Friday at 11:30 a.m.
*Every event will be interpreted by an ASL professional.
*Please bring your own chairs and blankets if you can.
