The gardens & grounds are open for outdoor enjoyment. The house and garage exhibit are closed due to the pandemic.

Visitor Parking

Applewood is next to the Flint Cultural Center. The entrance to our Visitor Parking is at the intersection of Robert T. Longway Boulevard and Kearsley Street.

Directions to Visitor Parking

From I-475:
  • Take exit 8A and turn east on Longway Boulevard toward the Flint Cultural Center.
  • At the Kearsley Street intersection, you’ll see our large “APPLEWOOD” brick sign on your right.
  • Just past that sign, turn right into our free parking lot and public entrance. (Don’t make a sharp right at the light onto Kearsley Street.)
If you have arrived at the front gate of Applewood:
  • Turn north on Walnut or Decker Streets.
  • Turn right on Longway Boulevard.
  • At the Kearsley Street intersection, you’ll see our large “Applewood Estate” sign on a brick wall on your right.
  • Just past that sign, turn right into our free parking lot and public entrance. (Don’t make a sharp right at the light onto Kearsley Street.)
