House Tour

Visitors can tour the Mott family home from 1–4 p.m. (last entry at 3:30 p.m.) on days that Applewood is open — no reservation needed! House Tours are self guided and volunteer guides are available to answer questions. Explore the first floor, including all the main living spaces, and the basement.

Guests who prefer a digital option can view our virtual tour, available as part of the exhibit in the historic garage and on our website.

What’s in Bloom Garden Tour

A guided garden tour is held on the second and fourth Thursday of every month at 12 p.m. The tour lasts about one hour and changes each month to highlight peak blooms. Expect to walk over varying terrain and up and down hills. For groups of 10 or more people, please make advance arrangements with the Manager of Visitor Services.

Printed garden guides are always available at Visitor Services when Applewood is open so that visitors can explore flowers, shrubs, and other flora at their own pace.
