As we commemorate the 250th signing of the Declaration of Independence, discover the ways our community celebrates our diverse past, through bicentennial activities at Applewood in the past, to Juneteenth celebrations in Flint today, and more. Drop in anytime from 1–4 p.m.
**As part of the countywide America 250 celebration, you can pickup your Genesee County passbook at Applewood and get a stamp for attending Civic Matters.**
The enduring legacy of Charles Stewart and Ruth Mott is their extraordinary commitment to civic participation. With a new program topic each month, Civic Matters explores ways that anyone can engage in civic life.
Drop in to Civic Matters anytime from 1–4 p.m. on the third Friday of each month May through October. Admission and activities at Applewood are always free!
