Storytime at Applewood

Event Details

We are reading “Everybody Cooks Rice” by Norah Dooley. Today’s book is about how food tends to be a common language for many different cultures throughout the world. In today’s activity, we will be building our own unique cookbooks.

You can drop in between 11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m. to visit our Storytime stations. There will also be a related activity.

  • For safety, masks are strongly recommended for everyone age 2 and older.
  • Physical distancing is required.
  • Storytime is outdoors. Please dress for the weather and bring your sunscreen, bug spray, and chairs or blankets to sit on if you prefer.

American Sign Language interpretation will be provided.

We will also read the story over Facebook Live for those who prefer to join us virtually: https://www.facebook.com/ApplewoodEstate
