In February 2020, weeks before Michigan’s first confirmed cases of COVID-19, the Ruth Mott Foundation Board of Trustees approved 23 grants totaling $2,059,060 for projects and programs serving north Flint in our first grant cycle of 2020. Today, the world is a very different place than it was when these grants were approved. We recognize the pandemic has halted or significantly altered programming, weakened financial positions, and upended lives. The Ruth Mott Foundation is committed to supporting our grantee partners in this time of great uncertainty. It is our intention to be flexible, mindful, and calm yet prepared as we continue working together, with residents and our partners, in new and different ways to support our community and take care of each other.
