Project and capital support to the Flint Cultural Center Corporation (FCCC) for the Sloan Museum of Discovery (Sloan) North Flint Collaboration and The Whiting's Youth Usher Corps. Capital support is for the selection, purchase, and installation of new, hands-on exhibits for youth in Sloan’s Early Childhood Gallery and Science Discovery Hall. Project support is for a new North Flint Advisory Council that will engage north Flint residents in the exhibition selection and interpretation process. The funding also includes support for The Whiting’s Youth Usher Corps program, which provides job training and employment experience for north Flint teens.
