Youth Summer Program: Prevent

To provide one-on-one reading time and reading activities to children and to engage north Flint adults (including some parents/caregivers of enrolled youth). Some of the adults will participate in a Vision Class that includes a Strengths Assessment to develop a better sense of self, and seven weeks of job training and paid employment. Given the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, there is a need for summer literacy programming for north Flint youth as well as job training for north Flint adults.
